Mama Walk A Little Slower

Mama walk a little slower-
Time is running fast,
Guide my little footsteps-
Into ways that last.

Mama walk a little slower-
I’m only little now,
Take the time to “chat” with me-
And to show me “how.”

Mama walk a little slower-
I want to talk to you,
You are the one I love the most-
I want to be like you!

Mama walk a little slower-
Guide these steps of mine,
Show me the way to go-
And I will follow thine!

Mama walk a little slower-
And I will see the way,
Take the time to show me “how”-
And take the time to play.

Mama walk a little slower-
I’m looking up to you,
Guide these little steps of mine-
I am counting on you.

Mama walk a little slower-
I am growing up you say,
Take the time to bend down low-
Oh, teach me how to pray!

Mama walk a little slower-
The treasures will be mine,
You will know you’ve done your best-
To teach me how to shine.

Mama walk a little slower-
Someday, it will be me,
Who needs to learn to “slow down”-
Oh, let me learn from thee!

Mama walk a little slower-
I’m learning “life” you see!
Take my little hand in yours-
Let’s make a memory.

Mama walk a little slower-
We have ALL day, you see,
Yesterday, I was a baby-
Now I’m almost three!

Mama walk a little slower-
The memories will be yours,
You help to shape my destiny-
You open up the doors……

For me to walk and learn to live-
To sing and work and play,
I’m learning how to be like you-
I watch you everyday.

So, Mama, walk a little slower-
I want to be like you!
Every day, you show me “how”-
Oh, let me follow you!
