Beauty

The wind in my face
The blue in the sky,
The haunting lone sound
Of the mourning dove’s cry.

The cackling of hens
While searching for eggs,
Wading in water
In a far-away lake.

Travelling through mountains
Oh, what a sight!
That cozy warm feeling
Of popcorn at night.

The smell of a flower
The smile of a child,
Irresistibly holding
My heart for awhile.

Curled up with a book
Swept away to far places,
Learning of cultures
And social graces.

The song in my heart
As the beauty unfolds,
The breath-taking wonders
Of blessings untold.

The Spirit within me
Leaps forth to rejoice,
Learning to trust
Amidst life’s woes and joys.

Beauty abounds
In all of these places,
We are blessed beyond measure
With His infinite grace!
