I AM RICH

I was born and raised in this area. Year after year I've built my life one step at a time. Memories were made here. My families and friends surround me.

I met a couple originally from El Salvador. They are selling their small country home to move back to the city. He is afraid to commute for work in the storms of winter. His heart is in his small country home. The wife does not drive and is at home alone while her husband works.

I didn't realize we had someone with such a unique story only a few houses away!

I Am Rich

I do not worry about war or rumours of wars...

My neighbour family was forced to leave El Salvador because of war.

I have never needed to pull up my roots and move to a strange country....

They did not know the language here.

I choose which job I want to fit my needs and interests...

He was willing to do any type of work just to earn a living.

My parents raised me and I was able to live at home at no cost as long as I wanted too...

He worked in Canada ten years so he could build has parents a safe home in El Salvador. After that, he could think about buying his own home in Canada.

I Am Rich

I can stay and live in a home that pleases me...

They would like to stay if they could.

May I always be grateful for my many blessings and remember that I am far richer than thousands of others.

May I always remember that I am no more worthy than these and do the little good that I am able too, because....
